Meet Your Companion

Becca Cohn has over six years of experience in eating disorder, mental health, and addiction recovery in the Los Angeles area. Currently, she serves as a manager at an adult structured behavioral modification sober living home, having previously worked at treatment centers including Polaris Teen Center, Paradigm Malibu, and Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment. Becca is certified in Suicide First Aid and trained in Crisis Counseling. She has also led eating disorder support groups through the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders and served as a crisis counselor for Crisis Text Line during the pandemic.

As a survivor of an eating disorder herself, Becca has firsthand experience with various treatment programs and therapies. After successfully recovering and stepping away from her safety net of support, she recognized a gap in traditional therapy models and a need for programs that assist individuals with everyday tasks that can be triggering to those on their recovery journey. This realization inspired her to create Opal Companion Recovery, where she provides mentorship and guidance through life’s daily activities.

Becca works with individuals facing all types of eating disorders and disordered eating, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, orthorexia, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED).

In her free time, Becca enjoys bike rides by the beach, playing with her dog, Autumn, and spending quality time with friends and family.
